HeliDax is a private company chosen by the French government in 2008 to provide the flight hours required for basic and advanced training of helicopter pilots from the French Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force), the Gendarmerie and the Belgian Air Force.
HeliDax provides 36 H120 helicopters and the associated maintenance services. This first partnership contract ever launched by the French Ministry of Defence is based on performance and reduction of aircraft operating costs.
The company, based at the Army Aviation School Base (B.E. 6è RHC) located in Dax, has one shareholder today: DCI (Défense Conseil International).
In January 2019, HeliDax demonstrated its ability to grow by winning the French Army Aviation maintenance contract for the 18 Fennec AS555N (twin-engine, armed helicopters) operated at the Army Aviation School Base (B.E 2è RHC) located in Le Cannet-des-Maures (Var).
This 10-year contract will be mainly executed from Le Cannet-des-Maures. Thanks to this contract, the company has recruited 26 people.
HeliDax has been awarded a contract to implement the 18 Army Aviation FENNEC helicopters (AS555N) based in Le Cannet-des-Maures (B.E 2è RHC), to maintain them in operational condition and to provide flight hours for the pilots.
The Aeronautical Maintenance Directorate (DMAé) notified this contract on January 21, 2019.
